Hauntings of Illinois with Kathi Kresol

Join the Sterling Rock Falls Historical Society as author and historian Kathi Kresol presents “Hauntings of Illinois,” an afternoon exploring the eerie stories and mysterious legends of the Prairie State.

Discover the history behind tales of haunted places and unexplained encounters, along with the people and events that helped these stories become part of Illinois folklore.

Kresol has spent more than two decades researching the unusual and sometimes unsettling side of local history. She shares her discoveries through books, articles, presentations, and Haunted Rockford events. Her books include Murder & Mayhem in Rockford, Illinois, Haunted Rockford, Illinois, and Haunted Rock River Valley.

The presentation is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. Join us for an afternoon of history, mystery, and storytelling!
